Dr.Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekara Reddy, popularly known as Y.S.R is the late present chief minister of state Andhra Pradesh. Dr.Y.S.Rajasekara Reddy hails from Pulivendula, a small town from cuddapah district of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. His father was also a dynamic political personality, thus public service was engrained in their family. Inherent leadership qualities of Y.S.R is seen even in his student days when he was elected the president of the student union and the leader of House Surgeon's Association in S.V.Medical College, Tirupati. Dr.Reddy belongs to the Indian National Congress party and was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative assembly from Pulivendula. He has been C.M of Andhra Pradesh since May.14, 2004 and also served as a leader of opposition party during the tenure at which Chandrababu Naidu was the Chief Minister.

Y.S.R is a medical science graduate from the M.R.College of Gulbargaa. He did his house-surgency in sri Venkateshwara Medical College, Tirupathi. After his completion of MBBS Degree, he served as a medical officer. In 1973, he established a 70-bed charitable hospital at pulivendula in the name of his father. A Doctor by profession, he made his debut in politics as a youth congress leader. Y.S.R had an active political career over a quarter of a century. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from the cuddapah constituency 4 times. Reddy belongs to a protestant evangelical organization. As he belongs to Indian National Congress, whose chief is Sonia Gandhi, hindu organisations believe that he is trying to destroy the Hindu religion and other holy places in A.P. He was president of Andhra pradesh congress committee twice.

In 2003, he undertook a 3 month long paadayatra across several districts in Andhra Pradesh. He has strived hard for the enhancement of Bio-Technology and Information Technology in the state. As a man of the mass, he worked for rural upliftment. He took part in mass struggles regarding downtrodden issues in the state. Surprise visits to the villages for personal inspection of the conditions could be even attributed as a pass time of Y.S.R. His death had also occurred in one such visit. His major campaign slogan for the 2009 election was development and credibility. In the elections, Reddy's party secured the required majority in the assembly and also won 33 seats in parliament. Reddy was sworn in as chief minister for the term 2009- 2014 on May 20, 2009.

On Sep.2nd, 2009, A helicopter carrying Y.S.R went missing in Nallamala forest area. On the morning of 03rd Sep 2009, Media agencies reported that the helicopter had been found on the top of Rudrakonda hill, 40 Nautical miles from Kurnool. After the mishap taken place, 5 persons including Y.S.R were declared dead. The ceremony was held in Hyderabad's Lal Bahadur shastri stadium and attended by a crowd of around 20, 000 People. However, the state is going to miss the real man of mass.

Biography of legendary pop king

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009), Popularly called as king of pop was one of the most commercially successful entertainers as well as an american musician. For four decades, his contributions towards music and dance paid him reward a prominent figure. He was born as seventh children to his parents on Aug.29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana. His mother, Katherine Esther Scruse, was a devout Jehovah's Witness, and his father, Joseph Walter "Joe" Jackson, a steel mill worker who performed with an R&B band called The Falcons. He showed talent early in his life by performing in front of class-mates during christmas.

He started a solo career in 1971 though he made his debut in 1964 as a member of Jackson 5. His 1982 album Thriller remains the best selling album of all time with four others, Off the wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and History (1995). He cultivated several dance moves such as robot and moonwalk. "Beat It" and "Thriller" making him the first African Americancrossover following on MTV, and has influenced scores of music artists.

He was twice inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, His other achievements feature multiple Guinness world records, 13 Grammy awards, 17 Number one singles and estimated sales around 750 million worldwide. He started his own Heal the world foundation in order to show his passion towards charity and raised several dollars to the needy. His changing appearance was noticed from the late 1970's and early 1980's, with changes to the shape of his nose and the color of his skin drawing media publicity. On Jan 27, 1984, He filmed a pepsi cola commercial in Los Angeles. On May 14, 1984, Jackson was invited to the White House to receive an award from President Ronald Reagan for his support of charities that helped people overcome alcohol and drug abuse. Jackson won eight awards during the Grammys that year.


In the mid 1980's, His skin color grew paler and those change gained widespread media coverage. In 1986, He was diagnosed with vitiligo and lupus which partially lightened his skin. The structure of his face also changed undergoing several nasal surgeries, thinned lips and cheekbone surgery. Due to a change in his diet and desire for a dancers body, he used to lose his weight. In May 1994, He married Singer-Songwriter Lisa Mary Presley. Jackson proposed to Presley over the telephone towards the fall of 1993 and thereby married in 1994. They got divorced in less than 2 years remaining friendly.

During the Australian leg of the History world tour, He married dermatology nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe on Nov 14 1996. She gave birth to 2 children, a son and a daughter. Throughout June 1999, He was involved in a number of charitable events. In October 2001, Jackson realeased Invincible which was his first album in 6 years and also turned out to be the last album of new material realeased when he was alive. He was accused in 1993 of child sexual abuse although no charges were brought.

He married twice first in 1994 and again in 1996 and brought up 3 children one born to a surrogate mother.


In 2005, he was tried and acquitted of child molestation allegations. In 2009, He was planned to tour This is It concert, but unfortunately couldn't get through since he was suffering from cardiac arrest and thereby died at the age of 50. He reportedly had been administered drugs such as propofol and lorazepam and his death was ruled a homicide by the Los Angeles county corner. His memorial service was broadcast all over the world, attracting a global audience of upto 1 billion. The death of this legendary man puts an end to a drastic moves and shakes in pop industry.
