It was my first experience to witness the marriage of a Muslim friend Mr. Abdul Rahman which took place on May 08th.2016. Abdul Rahman is my colleague from COMODO who represents Technical team. His marriage was preponed to May 08 due to Tamil Nadu elections which falls on 16th of May.2016. Since Marriage date is on weekend , I had decided to attend the function. Though i was married... I left my wife DD and my chweet son a week ago @ Gudur for a small vacation with her family over there...

It was a bunch of Technical dept guys with whom i have attended the marriage function at Kumbakonam... However , Few of the validation dept guys were present at the function whom i met at a marriage ceremony...It was a pleasant experience overall

We started at around 8 PM here from Ashok Pillar (Chennai) and reached Kumbakonam by early morning 3.30 a.m..We booked Van for our travel since we planned to visit few places nearby kumbakonam too...It was Mr. Ramesh who took charge of arranging van to the destination... On the way in Van , Few guys had a drinks including me and had some fun and slept for a while. We reached Kumbakonam at around 3.30 in morning wherein we checked in to Hotel directly as it was already booked by Bridegroom (Abdul)... Had sleep about almost an hour after which we started off from our Hotel room..
Thanjavur is almost close to 50 kms from Kumbakonam... So , We went to Thanjavur to visit Tanjore temple Which was famously called as Brihadeeshwara temple... From the outskirts , It looked mind blowing...
Everyone took few snaps over there and had some sculptures and carvings a second look as it was really good to watch out for...

Marriage hall is very near to room where we stayed and so it hardly took 3 minutes to reach the mandapam

We were given a warm welcome by Bridegroom's dad and marriage ceremony began @ 12 PM where Abdul is surrounded by a group who were reciting prayers while bride were placed far opposite to groom..
As soon as it is about to get over , We went to have lunch which was good after which we had a good photo session for a while along groom.. As soon as photo session got over , Groom got busy so we left the mandapam and stayed in van where i had a chat with Jai and Bapu for a while...
Around 4 PM , We left Kumbakonam and finally reached chennai at around 8.30 PM...All guys left as soon as their places arrived.. It was me who has to reach Gudur that night as my wife and son were staying in Gudur... It was again a long travel from CMBT which took almost 5 hours to reach the destination (Gudur) due to heavy traffic... I finally reached gudur by midnight 2.15 a.m
Overall , It was a pleasant experience travelling to Other parts of Tamil Nadu like Tanjore and Kumbakonam which was a rare journey to me personally via bus route...
