Synopsis : -

Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. "2012" is an epic adventure about global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors.

Story : -

Our Planet Earth has been facing a de-stabilising crust due to sun's extra heat which leads to doomsday in 2012 as predicted by Mayan Calendar. The story outline is about how John cusack as a father saving his family and whether President Danny Glover saving his country and Chiwetel Ejiofor as a scientist able to save our Earth.

Movie Review : -

End of the world movies have been more encouraging. This time director Roland Emmerich churns the oceans, Cracks up the earth and sends down the fireballs oozing out from Volcano eruption. Every one is on the run as everyone knew that Earth has an expiry date (Dec 2012). In short, the entire gamut of emotions must be run through, even if it takes a prolonged two and half hours to depict the might of man against the fury of nature.

Yes 2012 is too long where all the World's drama unfolds inside a submarine through which most of the billionaires survives. Those billionaires could afford to buy themselves a one billion euro berth in the secret submarine ship. Many VIP's like President's daughter, young scientist and other ordinary guys are gatecrashers and stowaways (John Cusack and his estranged family). Special effects of the film are the main highlights of the movie however director of the movie handles the characters bondings quite well such that there's Cusack trying to rebond with his separated wife, Scientist's torn with grief as he could not take his dad to the secret ship, U.S President avoiding to travel in the secret ship and accompanies his country men to suffer from the natural disaster and finally with the conversation of radio jockey who wants to bring the news about the doomsday to the whole world. All these characters try to hold your attention as they battle apocalyptical blues.

The special effects of the movie is the best feature which holds viewers attention. We get a fascinating thrill to see those larger-than-life waves, Fissures, Tsunamis and Volcanic eruptions wiping off all the famous monuments of the world, if we watch the movie in theatres. The White house is washed away by Tsunami, Eiffel tower knocked down by flight, Sistine chappel cracking up, Los Angeles splitting and california falls into the sea. The survivors were those who travelled in a small plane that flies through falling landscape and a specially crafted ship, A symbol of invincible human spirit. Director was sure about the success of this just disaster flick as he creates a bigger bang when the world ends and it's where he succeeds. Despite being low on the emotional quotient, with characters that can be easily forgotten, 2012 remains a larger-than-life entertainer due to its visual splendour.

For Indians, there is a special tribute the filmmaker pays to India. Indian Astrophysicist working somewhere in East India who cautions the world about the impending doom. The unfortunate fact is that though it's Indian scientist who predicted the doomsday, He could not save himself from the natural disaster through Tsunami. However survivor remembers the Indian for saving their life.

Performances : -

All the characters involved in the movie did their best to suit the respective roles and did justice to the movie. However an American scientist and Hero John Cusack saving his family and an American President sacrificing his own life along with his countrymen.

Story : -

The story being scripted by Producer-Director Roland Emmerich picturised the demands of disaster in the movie. The story-line focussing on the survival and unfold effects mainly due to special effects. Great camera work done for the movie by Dean semler. The end of the world sequences are absolutely magnificent as are the daring little vignettes of human valour.

Special Effects : -

Mike Vezina is the special effects supervisor who should be really applaused for th splendid effort depicted in the movie. Spelendid work in showing Los Angeles cracking into the grand canyon which we could never see ever.

Thanks to the entire team production for the movie 2012 to cast a disaster of the world in such a mass budget of the year.
